OUR ETHICS

Corporate Social Responsibility

To quote our Chairman: "Our state of mind makes all the difference! A company only exists because it serves a social purpose. Making a profit is not its primary objective! Its primary objective is to create value for everyone. Social matters and the economy are intertwined."

Corporate social responsibility is an integral part of our development strategy. It permeates all our sectors. We see our company as a major player in terms of development, economic growth, and consumption. The economic and ecological emergency is particularly close to our hearts. Our aim is to contribute to the personal development of our employees and to the protection of the environment.

In response to the urgent need to tackle climate change, we have introduced a code of conduct and included traceability of operations and standard inspections in our supplier contracts. This way, we encourage our suppliers to follow our defined guidelines.

We are committed to working only with suppliers who agree to comply with the requirements of this Code of Conduct and who also respect the principles set out in the Conventions of the International Labour Organisation, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the guidelines of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Global Compact. We require strict compliance with these standards from all our suppliers, their factories, subcontractors, and suppliers. Any breach or violation of this code of conduct will result in a review and possible termination of our business relationship.

Our staff carry out random and sometimes unannounced in-person inspections to check compliance with our standards and to help our suppliers implement any necessary changes.

We are constantly reinforcing our actions in terms of ethical behaviour and data protection in order to promote ever-higher standards.

"I'm extremely proud of my teams for their commitment to these moral and ethical values."

Inspections and audits

We reserve the right to monitor compliance with our code of conduct and to conduct compliance audits at any time, and without prior notice; for this, our suppliers undertake to provide all necessary information and elements to Diadème representatives. Our suppliers must commit to improving and correcting any shortcomings detected in order to consolidate the agreement. Our suppliers must provide our representatives with full, genuine, and accurate records and should maintain a sufficient archiving system to prove compliance with this code of conduct.

Furthermore, compliance with our quality standards is first checked in the country of production and then in France by internationally recognised state-approved bodies such as INTERTEK and BUREAU VERITAS. These checks enable us to ensure that the metals used in our jewellery meet French compliance standards.

The REACH Test, which is intended to register chemical products and their use in order to protect human health and the environment, requires manufacturers to collect information on the properties of the materials used in our jewellery, their components, and the conditions in which they are handled. This information is then entered into a central database managed by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

Our partner inspection bodies offer us comprehensive analysis services to help us successfully meet the complex REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals - EC1907/2006) analysis requirements: physico-chemical analyses and toxicological studies.
